📼 1990s Indie Film Style LoRA (90svis)

Capture the raw, unfiltered, and nostalgic aesthetic of 1990s independent cinema.

This LoRA is designed to replicate the distinct visual signature of small-budget 90s cult classics. It moves beyond generic "vintage" filters to capture the specific texture of the era: harsh direct flash, soft lens bloom, organic film grain, and that distinct "home video" intimacy found in suburban storytelling.

Credit: The Model has received technical support from ModelScope. It has been trained completely on ModelScope by me, from tagging the dataset using Qwen VL to actual training, all steps were carried out on ModelScope.

🎬 Inspirations

The dataset was carefully curated from high-resolution screencaps of iconic 90s indie films known for their visual identity, including:

• Trainspotting

• The Virgin Suicides

• Bottle Rocket

• Buffalo ’66

• Eve’s Bayou

• Slacker

🛠️ Methodology: Face-Agnostic Training

A key feature of this LoRA is its Face-Agnostic Captioning.

• The Problem: Many style LoRAs accidentally overfit to the actors' faces

• The Solution: The training data (90+ cleaned, high-res images) was captioned to strictly describe lighting, composition, clothing, and environmental textures, explicitly ignoring actor identities.

• The Result: You can use this LoRA with your own characters or other LoRAs. It applies the style (lighting, film stock, mood) without bleeding the original actors' faces into your generations.

• Key Aesthetics: Harsh direct flash photography, red-eye effects, messy hairstyles, oversized flannel/denim fashion, floral wallpapers, and dimly lit suburban interiors.

• Base Model: Trained on Qwen Image for high visual fidelity.
