Medieval Crossbows and Crossbowmen

LORA
Original

Updated:

Important Note: Using Strength 1.0 results in grainy image. Make Strength 0.5 and increase Guidance to at least 12 (around 24 is good too).

Although decreasing strength results in messier 'non realistic' Crossbow, increasing guidance to 12 or more helps to create correct Crossbow if you describe it well (tiller, prod, nuts, string, lever, crannequin windlass or other details in the prompt by explaining their position, shape, material, etc.).

CONTENT:

Many different types of Crossbows are added in Training Data: crannequin, lever, pistol, heavy, light, siege, and chu-ko-nu.

Realistic photos of Genoese crossbowmen (from larp, etc.) and other realistic Medieval depictions and illustrations are in the training data as well. There are all poses of crossbow use: arming, shooting, spanning, and 'crossbow over shoulder' (when idle or walking).

Terminology:

tiller (or stock): main body of the crossbow, usually from wood. Some ornamental versions have bone or metal inlays, or a different wood.

prod: bow part, some metal, wooden and ornamental versions are included.

string: usually made of fiber.

bolt track: where bolt moves on tiller.

nut: where bolt's butt sits.

stirrup: the circular or rectangular metal at the head of crossbow to help re-arming.

Additionally:

Sallet, open-faced sallet, Kettle helm, bell-shaped kettle helm, chainmail coif, leather coif, chainmail, hauberk, brigandine, cuirass, belt hook, pavise are mentioned in the training data.
