Terraceous hulks are magical creations born of stone and wood. They often serve magic users, their allies, or those with the coin to afford their service. Hulks are massive, lumbering golems best suited for tasks that require brute strength. They are also capable guardians, using both their fists and their huge bulk to crush their foes.
The terraceous hulk stood silent and unmoving outside the temple, so still that one might think it was a statue.
The Priest of Nestal peered up at it. It remained immoble. He tried to move around it, but the hulk stepped to the side, blocking his path.
The priest scowled. He attempted to walk around the other side of the hulk, but again the golem stepped in front of him.
“Stand aside,” the priest said.
The hulk said nothing.
Again he tried to pass, and again the hulk moved to block his entrance to the temple.
The priest spat on the ground. “I will not be stopped by a mindless golem.” He slammed his staff upon the ground, closed his eyes, and began to recite a prayer of destruction.
The terraceous hulk extended its arms to either side of its body and swung them forward. Its stone palms crashed together, the priest's head between them. It exploded in a spray of gore. His lifeless body toppled to the ground.
