VAE: Extremely versatile. You may or may not use any VAE. Although the recommended one is vae-ft-mse-840000-ema-pruned.
How To Create The Pastel Effect?
Use Latent upscaler while using Hires.fix or upscaling in IMG2IMG.
Set the denoising strength to a lower value (generally 3~4) while using Hires.fix.
Additionally you may use the tokens 'colorful' / 'high contrast' / 'illustration' in any combination within your positive prompts.
