Illusion understands your prompt. She just has a few suggestions.

You bring an old prompt, and she's already making decisions about the face, the lines, the clothes and the whole fucking vibe. Apparently we have an art director now.

Sometimes you see the result and go, "Okay, yes. That's what was missing."

Sometimes you were perfectly happy with your original idea five minutes ago.

She likes to draw, and she likes having opinions about how things should be drawn. Give her room when that's what you're after. Turn her down a bit when it isn't.

What she tends to do

  • Gives many character prompts a clearer illustrated treatment, with stronger edges, grouped color planes and more deliberately drawn faces and clothing.

  • Is more willing than Sleight to restyle a familiar prompt when you haven't pinned down the medium.

  • Responds to specific directions such as watercolor, ink, planar gouache, impasto, graphic poster work, layered paper and 2D scenery.

  • Has useful results beyond single-character portraits: groups, food, ordinary animals, room cutaways and mechanical designs all showed up well in the reviewed batches.

Where she gets carried away

Faces can become more polished, more youthful or more familiar-looking than you intended. Clothes may acquire a hood or another bit of extra styling. She can preserve the broad scene and still miss a small action, exact age or object relationship.

Harder painted highlights also don't automatically mean matte skin. She can get shiny too.

How to use her

Try her when you want a familiar prompt to come back with a stronger illustrated identity. If you're aiming for a specific medium, say which one and give her a few concrete visual cues to work with.

The main comparison galleries use strength 1.0. You don't have to. Start lower if you want some of her drawing style while keeping more of the base and prompt's existing direction. Raise it when you're happy to let her take more of the wheel.

For the quieter member of the trio, try JJJ · Sleight. For stronger trait emphasis and a little more "what the hell is she doing now," try JJJ · Morphing.

Settings

Tested base: rRealisMAX Krea-2 V1.5-aio

Sampler / scheduler: Euler / beta

Steps: 8-10; the main comparison galleries use 10

CFG: 1 Strength Main reviewed batches: 1.0; lower strengths are worth trying for everyday use

Trigger: The reviewed prompts did not include jjjmosaic; you can start without it

Negative: Left empty in the reference runs

VAE: Automatic

Reference size: 768 x 1152

The 8-step starting point comes from my additional use, while the structured comparison batches use 10. Lower strengths have not been systematically benchmarked. Pick one step count while comparing strengths so you're not changing everything at once.

About this version

This is the E7 checkpoint from the same mixed-dataset training as JJJ · Sleight (E4) and JJJ · Morphing (E10). Each has its own balance of following and reinterpreting a prompt.

The structured review covers 87 prompts for this checkpoint. Different seeds were used between checkpoints, and the results don't establish a universal best version or guarantee exact anatomy, age or intricate contact.
